Do you like to Do It Yourself? Do you have an idea for something amazing but feel like you don’t have the tools or know-how? Do you believe knowledge should be free? Hackerspaces offer the room, tools and ideas you need to make your idea a reality.
The concept of a Hackerspace is a general workshop with resources to take on any project from simple electrical repair to complex electronic design and prototyping to machining gears, casting odd pieces, creating innovative costumes, building art pieces, exploring esoteric arts, and teaching cutting edge technologies.
Xerocraft is a fully registered 501(c)3 nonprofit where people can share knowledge, resources and create awesome things. Tucson’s hackerspace is new; your involvement will help us grow. Come and meet others like you: people who like to tinker, make, build, craft, destroy, repair, wonder, invent, reuse, fabricate, share, explore, create works of art and have fun.
Everyone is welcome to come in during our open hours.

501(c)3 Tax-Exempt Status:
Xerocraft Inc. is an Arizona Nonprofit Corporation, incorporated under the laws of Arizona in January 2012. An Arizona Nonprofit Corporation does not have owners or profits that can be paid out. We have strict restrictions on self-dealing and Conflict of Interest, and federal requirements on the use of donations for the benefit of our entire membership.
Our mission is to provide equipment, resources, training and collaborative opportunities to anyone who has an interest in participating, without discrimination or restriction by social or economic status. Since our mission is clearly in line with the requirements of a federally recognized Charitable and Educational organization, we fully expect to be recognized as a provisionally qualified corporation before the end of 2013.
Although we were formed in 2011 as a club, we incorporated in January 2012 for the express purpose of qualifying as a 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Charity under the rules and regulations of the US Internal Revenue Service. On February 11th, 2013 we filed our completed application for Tax Exempt status and are now waiting for the IRS to make a determination. We received our letter of determination for Tax Exempt status on May 11, 2013, making retroactively effective all donations made after January 6th, 2012.
